Project Manager – architectural Millwork

Candidate will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of a custom manufactured project for the building industry. Background in construction or wood manufacturing strongly desired. The proper candidate will be organized and able to handle multiple aspects of several projects and customers simultaneously. Required to be able to manage customer’s needs from design all the way through delivery of finished goods. Requires excellent communication skills and record keeping.
Duties include:
- Manage details for custom manufactured goods.
- Work with customers to get signed approvals and shop drawings.
- Make site visits to get field conditions (when applicable).
- Work closely with customers to maintain accurate timelines for approvals and production.
- Process all paperwork for internal manufacturing and submittals for billing
Assistant Project Manager

Candidate will assist the project manager with developing required documents for custom production. Able to work closely with the leading PM and with customers to review shop drawing and work orders for accuracy prior to manufacturing. Basic understanding of the construction industry and able to read and understand construction drawings required. Position requires strong attention to detail and the coordination of multiple items simultaneously on several projects at a time.
Duties include:
- Review shop drawing and work orders for accuracy.
- Process work orders for scheduling into production.
- Assist PM in communication with customers.
Estimator
Located in Hanover, PA at ICD, our Architectural Millwork House (www.ivancdutterer.com)
We are looking for an Estimator adept with Residential and Commercial Construction Drawings. This person will have the knack for reviewing Blueprints from a Business Development perspective and experience doing take-offs from those Drawings. Prior experience in Architectural Millwork and Custom Cabinetry is required. This person will support Sales & Production Teams in Hanover, PA and White Marsh, MD. The day to day of the job will include reviewing RFQs for accuracy and for Business Development opportunities, and forwarding relevant requests to the appropriate Company Division or Department. This opportunity does have a potential career path to Senior Estimator / Project Manager.
- Analyze detailed blueprints and specifications to provide take off and quotes on all millwork products.
- Manage bid submission requirements for public and private bids.
- Compile entire estimate for review prior to submission.
- Analyze bids and proposals to validate cost and scope of work.
- Proactively develop relationships to expand & strengthen customer base.
- Provide value engineering throughout the RFQ Phase.
- Maintain open lines of communication between internal departments such as Project Manager, Drafting and Sales.
- Identify potential clients, their construction needs & how best to service them.
- Able to converse with Architects, Builders, Designers on specific aspects of their projects.
- Manage bid process to ensure bid is on time.
- Document, organize and maintain project information.
- Create and organize documentation into bid files.
- Request bid documents from various entities.
- Prepare written proposals for prospective projects.
- Estimate change orders.
- Collect and review quotations from vendors.
Inventory Control Analyst
Summary / Objective:
We are looking for an individual to manage ever growing inventory levels. We specialize in Exotic and Domestic Hardwoods, Softwoods, Structural Timbers, Specialty Log Products, Hardwood and Marine Grade Plywood.
Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a Team and play a critical role in the Finance Department.
- Work closely with Purchasers, Sales Reps, Yard and Office coworkers as necessary, maintaining awareness of inquiries and orders.
- Control inventories of raw materials through finished goods.
- Ensure product availability meets customer demand.
- Analyze inventory levels and sales forecasts to determine reorder levels.
- Prepare Excel files exported from LumberTrack for each species of lumber for the annual inventory, and assist in resolving/reconciling discrepancies.
- Participate in inventory counts and audits.
- Place and manage Purchase Orders.
- Present recommendations and trends to sales leaders and management to ensure success.
- Demonstrate thoroughness and meticulous attention to detail.
- Actively participate in the timely and profitable execution of individual projects as assigned.
- Answer phones on an as-needed basis, and other related administrative tasks as needed and as determined by management.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of building materials and inventory control.
- Two years of increasingly responsible experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and above average Excel skills.
- Experience with other industry software applications such as Epicor LumberTrack preferred.
- Strong organizational, computer, and interpersonal skills.
- Good communication, time management skills, and exceptional analytical skills.
- Team player and highly self-motivated individual.
CDL Driver

Drivers Wanted!
We are looking for experienced Class A CDL Drivers with 2 or more years of Class A Tractor and Trailer experience preferred.
The majority of the deliveries associated with this position will be East Coast / home the same day deliveries with an occasional run to Western Pennsylvania / Ohio. Our current Drivers average 1 overnight run every two weeks. The position offers paid training on safe driving and product handling specific to our industry.

All Trucks are leased and properly maintained. At this time all of our trucks are 10 speed manuals. The longest Trailer is 48’ with an average weight of 80,000lbs. We need versatile Drivers to handle some city deliveries with loading docks and some jobsite deliveries using a Moffett Forklift.
Our drivers work flex schedules to reduce road fatigue and in order to comply with DOT regulations.

Wood Moulder Operator Jobs and Millworkers

We run a full millwork operation at our yard in White Marsh, MD and we are seeking new millworkers as our business expands. Qualified applicants should have experience working with multi-head moulders including set up, refinement, and running of profiles. Weinig PowerMat or similar experience preferred. Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining high quality standards is a must. This is a first shift position and overtime is possible.
The Moulder Operator will function as an integral part of the Lumber Mill Production Team.

The Moulder Operator will be responsible for and have the authority for setting up and operating a group of machines and making necessary adjustments or mechanical repairs to the machines and auxiliary equipment in a safe and efficient manner. We are also seeking individuals with any past experience working in a millwork environment and any who understand the wholesale / commercial lumber industry.
We have invested in new and modern mill equipment, and we are seeking not only to hire 1 or more Machine Operators for our Weinig PowerMat 6-head Moulder, but also our new 36″ Belt Sander, and other equipment including an Oliver 36″ S2S Planer, a smaller Ironwood 1-head Moulder, and a smaller Job Lot Planer.
We work as a Team in the Mill with the Foreman, Assistant Foreman / Scheduler, Pullers and Feeders all working together to ensure Safety, Quality, and to meet Production goals. Ideally we want to cross train all our mill employees to operate a variety of machines and handle multiple tasks as the needs arise. In other words we are looking for employees who have initiative and are looking for opportunity to learn every aspect of our mill operation.

Lumber Sales Jobs, Baltimore and Nationwide

The company is expanding quickly and we need sales people to help us continue that growth. This includes entry and junior level inside sales positions that will be responsible for fielding inbound phone calls and web inquiries, ensuring our outbound trucks are full with orders, and managing existing customer relationships. Inside sales openings are located at our White Marsh, MD headquarters.
Additionally we are looking for experienced outside sales reps who can prospect and identify new customers within specified product lines and geographic territories. Lumber sales experience is preferred but not required. Mostly we need driven individuals capable of hunting for new business and expanding our offerings within established territories.

Fork Lift Operator Jobs

We are always on the look out for qualified fork lift operators as lumber is heavy and without the fork lift we would be useless in our day to day operations. This is not your typical fork lift work and could be classified as off road fork lifting due to the outdoor nature of our lumber yard and the uneven terrain.
