The name J. Gibson McIlvain is one of the oldest and most respected in the lumber and millwork industry. As the sixth generation family member my mission is the care and continuation of the company’s international reputation for providing only the highest quality lumber, service, and millwork. I can guarantee that our dedicated employees will work to ensure your satisfaction with any work or material that we provide for your project.
To keep that commitment we continually upgrade our air and kiln drying yards as well as our millwork facilities. We expand our product lines to include additional exotic and new species into the marketplace. Up-to-date computer systems track your order from the day it is received up until a timely delivery is made.
Each board that passes through our plants is hand inspected three times. First, each board is inspected upon arrival. Second, our graders inspect each board to lay out kiln defects. Finally, each piece is inspected when the order is prepared for the customer using J. Gibson McIlvain’s proprietary standards.
On this corporate site we will introduce to you our dual facilities in White Marsh, Maryland and Danielson, Connecticut. We encourage you to come and visit us at any time.
