Peter Baker - West Coast Sales

Peter Baker is the Vice President of Connecticut Operations and West Coast Sales Representative. Pete has been with J. Gibson McIlvain Company since 1988 and immediately became a member of the sales team.  He was promoted to Head of Operations in our Connecticut location in 1998.  Pete also has worked as Sales Manager but now focuses his talents on developing our West Coast sales.

Norman Moton - Sales Manager

Norm Moton is J. Gibson McIlvain’s Sales Manager. He joined the company in 1999 after graduating with a degree in Forestry Management from Virginia Tech University. He quickly made a name for himself as a top inside and road salesman. He holds an MBA from the University of Baltimore.

Warren Ceppos - New York City / Northern New Jersey Sales

Warren Ceppos worked in the plywood industry for five years before joining the J. Gibson McIlvain Company sales team in 2004. Warren is a native New Yorker with a charming personality and a relentless work ethic. He always goes “the extra mile” to ensure his customers’ needs are satisfied.

Jeff Harman - Western Maryland / Baltimore / Pennsylvania / Midwest Sales

Jeff Harman was hired at J. Gibson McIlvain Company in 1992 as an in-house salesman and eventually became an important member of our outside sales team. He has a degree in Communications from Towson State University. Jeff’s personality is truly one of a kind; in fact, Jeff used to be a DJ for a Baltimore radio station and is the voice behind our website slide show!

Crawford Haythe - Western Massachusetts/New York State/Connecticut Sales

Crawford Haythe has been with the company since 1986. He worked at our Connecticut location as Head of Operations; he is an expert in kiln drying techniques and is a graduate of the NHLA grading school. Crawford expressed interest in a sales opportunity, and his work ethic, industry experience, and great personality made him a natural for the position.

Tom Ohl - New Jersey / Lancaster, PA Sales

Tom Ohl has been with the J. Gibson McIlvain Company since 1977; he worked in our custom millwork facility and yard before becoming a dynamite member of our sales team. Tom has always been determined to provide his customers with exceptional service.

Mark Schmidt - Eastern Massachusetts / New Hampshire / Maine / Rhode Island Sales

Mark Schmidt started with the J. Gibson McIlvain Company as an outside sales representative in 1994. He has prior industry experience in an architectural millwork shop. Mark is an Eagle Scout and a wood enthusiast who has taught basic woodworking and furniture manufacturing classes! He is always eager to help his customers meet all of their lumber needs.

Nolan Coffman - Florida / Georgia / South Carolina / North Carolina

Nolan Coffman began working in the yard as an order counter, became Assistant to the Head of Operations, and then took a job as Jeff Harman’s and Mike Day’s Inside Sales Representative. On the phone his easy laugh and quick response time will help you make important decisions about any project you’re working through. Recently, Nolan earned an outside sales territory that covers much of the South East.

Ryan Wright - Virginia / Washington, D.C.

Ryan Wright is Warren Ceppos’ and Tom Ohl’s inside sales representative. Ryan gained five years industry experience counting and assuring the quality of our custom millwork orders. His competence, sharp humor, and technical expertise will meet your phone call with the attention it deserves. Recently, Ryan earned an outside sales territory that covers Virginia and Washington, D.C.

Doug Guffey

Doug Guffey works as Jeff Harman’s and Pete Baker’s inside sales representative. He worked in the sawmill industry before taking a position with J. Gibson McIlvain in 2005 as a domestic purchaser. His breadth of wood knowledge, his quick wit, and outgoing personality will impress you when he picks up the phone.

Nita McAllister

Nita McAllister began with the J. Gibson McIlvain Company as a receptionist in 1991. After four years she became the credit manager. She works in tandem with our sales team and customers to make all transactions go smoothly.

Ada Swingler

Ada Swingler took on the job of receptionist and invoicing when she joined the company in 1972. Within three years she was promoted to inventory control and human resources administrator. Today Ada performs as assistant to the credit manager and dispatcher. She calls all of our customers the day before delivery to assure our customers receive on time and top quality service.

Glenn Werner

Glenn Werner is Crawford Haythe’s and Mark Schmidt’s inside sales representative. He has been with J. Gibson McIlvain Company since 1974 doing both inside and outside sales. Glenn’s wealth of experience within the industry makes him a valuable resource for his coworkers and customers. Glenn gives full and careful consideration to each inquiry every time the phone rings.

Paul O’Brien

Paul O’Brien has been with J. Gibson McIlvain Company since 1992. Prior to 1992 Paul O’Brien worked in domestic sawmills and gained experience running kilns. Paul currently focuses his work on domestic lumber purchasing and domestic logistics. He also assists Pete Baker—our west coast sales representative—with inside sales between San Jose and Seattle. Paul is a true expert in our field.
